Motel was easy to find and was fairly close drive to Williams College and the Theater Festival, as well as Mass moca. Having a waffle-maker at breakfast was nice.

It was pretty expensive for a motel with basic amenities. We had one of the few inside rooms available, but the door to the outside was wide open all night. Walls are very thin and you can hear people talking.

    Very good

I think it would have been a much better experience if the check in staff spoke and understood english better. It was very difficult to ask questions and get any information from the staff. They were polite, but could not communicate well..

    Fabulous

The person working at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. He upgraded us from a Queen to a King room free of charge since the nicer room was available and I did not even request it. He took the time to show me on the area map where our hotel was in relation to several local restaurants. He also gave me easy to follow directions to the concert venue, which was the reason for our stay.

The first room we checked into had a dirty pair of men's boxers on the bathroom floor so we immediately requested a new room.

Everything that was advertised was there and worked. Spacious room with good beds. Good breakfast. Excellent value for money.

Very Convenient and a great price. Receptionist very nice and friendly. Got us extra pillows even at 10 PM.

A buzzing in the air conditioner.

Very tired facility. Our room #302 had stained worn chairs, the floors and bathroom could have been cleaner. Styrofoam in the breakfast nook. Everything was just as profitable as the owners could make it. We reserved at the Howard Johnson hoping the national chain would be a safer bet than the locally owned motels which didn't look that great. But we would never go back again and were anxious to get out of the room the next morning. Very poor value for $169/night, even with high fall foliage season in mind.

Very tired looking hotel with the rooms dull and dark, the beds had bottom cover protection but these were never fitted properly and made sleeping uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor and not replenished if you were down later

    Fabulous

    Location,friendliness

The rooms need to be Smoke Free as stated. As a non-smoker, the rooms definately Need to be made free of the smell of old smoke!

It was inexpensive and close to North Adams and Williamstown.

Not real happy with this place. Bathroom smelled like stale urine and the air conditioning buzzed annoyingly even when it wasn't on. We booked it because we figured that with the Howard Johnson's brand that it might not be the lap of luxury, but at least it would be clean and the service friendly. After two nights we asked to be let out of the balance of our stay and the front desk clerk said that the manager had to give permission to give us a refund. It took over 24-hours to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion during which we were first told that we would have to pay for an additional two days (or stay for that time to get our money's worth). Not the most customer-friendly approach in a region that is starved for tourist dollars.
